Abstract

|
This study was conducted to examine primiparas’ postpartum depression according to delivery methods(NSVD: 49 vs C/sec: 46) and that changed over time(before the labor, at 3 days and 1 month postpartum) and factors(general and obstetrical factors) that affect primiparas’ depression.
The Self-rating Depression Scale, depression instrument, that was developed by Zung was used
The data were analyzed by means of t-test, ANOVA, Pearson Correlation of SPSS, and the result of this study was summarized as follows.
Postpartum depression’ according to time change had a gap(p＜0.5) but delivery methods didn’t have differences(p＞0.5) and various general and obstetrical factors affected postpartum depression.
